
Breanna Olson is the senior manager of the Public Affairs Council’s political involvement practice. Breanna specializes in campaign finance, political action committees, fundraising and issues and reputation management with a focus on integrating these efforts with broad public affairs goals.
Along with her collaborative work on public affairs benchmarking reports, Breanna and the public affairs team lead more than 60 annual training programs for public affairs practitioners along with the country’s premier annual PAC and Grassroots conferences. She also provides individualized counseling to Council members and is often asked to speak at PAC events and to corporate executive teams about political involvement.
Breanna oversees the Council's Political Involvement Network, a forum for community building, networking and information sharing on leading topics in the field.
Before joining the Council, Breanna was the national finance manager for Rudy Giuliani's 2008 presidential primary campaign, where she worked with business and industry leaders nationwide to expand major donor and coalition initiatives. During the 2006 election cycle, Breanna implemented a statewide communications steering committee for a top U.S. Senate race that drove key messaging at the state and local levels.
Breanna started her career at Westat in Rockville, Md., as a research analyst after serving as a team captain volunteer at the 2004 National Convention.
Breanna is pursuing her Master of Arts in Government at Johns Hopkins University. A native of Minnesota, Breanna graduated with a bachelor's in political science from the College of Saint Benedict/Saint John’s University in 2004. She spent a semester studying abroad in Greece and Italy.
