Shelly is responsible for leading the Council’s membership recruitment efforts in conjunction with our program staff and board leadership.  Shelly comes to us with nearly 10 years of experience in development, constituent engagement and fundraising for schools and universities.  Most recently, she was Director of Development for the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences at The George Washington University.  She has also worked in development and alumni relations for Georgetown University, Alexandria Country Day School and the University of Cincinnati.  

A native of greater Cincinnati, Shelly received a master’s degree in public relations from The George Washington University and a B.A. in English literature and theater from Northern Kentucky University.  She resides in Washington with her husband and young son.
