Sheree Anne Kelly is vice president of the Public Affairs Council. In this capacity she serves as deputy for the office, and sits on the senior management team for the organization. She also directs the public affairs experts on staff who are responsible for consulting and training on best practices and ethical considerations for the field of public affairs worldwide. Since joining the organization over a decade ago, she's worked with hundreds of corporations and associations to craft and tailor strategic plans and tactics for their outreach programs. Her areas of expertise include international public affairs, U.S. government relations, issues management, corporate social responsibility, and advocacy. Sheree Anne is also responsible for the Council's strategic planning and works closely with the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee.  

Prior to joining the Council, Ms. Kelly worked in the government affairs department of the National Association of Home Builders where she served as primary fundraiser and handled the marketing and communications for their $2.6 million PAC. She was also involved in a host of grassroots, issues management and good-government efforts for the organization. Ms. Kelly has also held positions at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in their corporate relations and corporate development departments. Her background includes non-profit and candidate fundraising, membership development and political campaign activities.

Ms. Kelly has delivered speeches on public affairs in North America, Europe and Asia, and has counseled executives on six continents. She is a regular guest presenter at Board meetings, senior management retreats, and University courses on public affairs and political science. Sheree Anne has also keynoted dozens of trade association annual meetings, training conferences, and executive education programs worldwide.

 

Since 2006, she's served as a faculty member for the annual Public Affairs in Asia Institute at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in Clear Water Bay, Hong Kong. Sheree Anne's writings have been published in numerous industry publications as well as local and national media outlets. She is a member of the Board of Visitors of the Engalitcheff Institute on Comparative Political and Economic Systems and a Board member of the Bucknell University Public Policy Institute.  

Sheree Anne volunteers for several local charities, advises students on career development, and serves as a mentor for both professional and educational groups. She previously served on the Board of Directors for Project Northstar, a mentoring and tutoring program in the District of Columbia.

Ms. Kelly holds a Master in Government degree from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Bucknell University. She is a 2013 candidate for an International Executive MBA from Georgetown University. Sheree Anne also studied at l'Universite Francois Rabelais in Tours, France. She has completed the Leadership Development Program at the Center for Creative Leadership, as well as certification programs in campaign management, campaign finance, and US ethics, lobbying and gift laws.
