Overall Purpose: Responsible for advancing legislative agenda of the company Key Roles and Responsibilities: Develops analysis of legislation and serves as subject matter expert; develops coalitions of 3rd parties. Collaborate and contribute to the government relations team; meets with state legislators and staff to discuss pending issues. Build productive relationships with policy makers on issues critical to the corporation. Confer and consult with district staff to field constituent concerns. Promote company’s policy agenda during public hearings. Manages Political Action Committee (PAC) activity and solicitation. Cooperates with all business units in meeting specific business goals and objectives. Serves as a face of the corporation before policy makers. Viewed as integral policy partner and thought leader. Assists corporate communications with policy related media relations.
Education: Generally a bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: Typically 3-5 years of legislative affairs experience.
