A global entertainment corporation is looking for a strategic External Affairs professional to head up their External Affairs team.

Reporting to the Public Affairs department head, you will be leading a small team. Your key mission is to identify needs of the community in Hong Kong and Southern China and to develop and implement comprehensive External and Community Relations strategies.

The objectives are to create awareness, recognition and support of the community outreach efforts by proactive communication/partnership with public opinion leaders, media, academicians, politicians, business sectors, and NGOs.

Your other responsibilities including but not limited: to evaluate current political and social situations, cultivate allies among external stakeholders with possible joint partnership initiatives, proactive management of potential/emerging issues that impact the business in HK and Southern China, champion changes and share intelligence both as a leader and a team player.

To qualify, you will have a degree in a related discipline and at least 15 years of experience in Government Relations/Public Affairs/Communications within a multinational company. You should have proven track record in linking external and community relations functions to overall business objectives.

Strong knowledge of local and Southern China political and social environment. You are a strong leader as well as a team player. Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills are essential to the success of this role.

Fluency in English and Cantonese is a must, and Mandarin is a plus.
