The
Organization for International Investment (OFII) located
near in Washington, DC, is seeking a Director, Public & Media Relations. The Director, Public & Media Relations reports directly to the
President & CEO.
The primary
responsibility of this position is to work with media outlets to promote the
organization and its messages. Requirements include strong writing
skills, the ability to develop and strengthen relationships with key national and regional media, as well as
association's member companies. Duties will include generating press releases,
talking points, presentations and other targeted communications materials for external
and internal audiences. Experience in pitching, promoting and coordinating press
events, stories and communications opportunities to different audiences is desirable.
A minimum
of 5 years of directly
related work experience is required. The ideal candidate will have
excellent oral and writing skills, an outgoing
personality and corporate or association experience. A background
in international business policy issues is a plus.
OFII is a business association based in Washington, DC, which has been in existence for almost
20 years. OFII's members, the U.S. subsidiaries of companies with
headquarters outside the United States, include some of the largest
global companies in the world, i.e., Sony, Nestlé, Unilever and Honda.
The purpose of the organization is to educate policy makers and the public on
the benefits foreign direct investment brings to the U.S. economy and to advocate for
nondiscriminatory treatment on the behalf of its members to federal and state
lawmakers.
