Job Description

The Boeing Company, National Strategy and Engagement is seeking a Government Relations Specialist.  This level 2 position will be based out of our Arlington VA location.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide coordination, research, analysis in support of the Strategy and Advocacy team working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Track legislation/regulations/public policy issues and route information to subject matter experts for review; coordinate with external entities (e.g., government organizations, customers, coalitions, business associations, research organizations); and coordinate coalition meetings and visits by issue partners, customers, elected officials and staff.
  • Represents the company at selected planning events.
  • Coordinates and assists grassroots advocacy coalitions (e.g., employees, retirees, shareholders, other business representatives, customers) by providing information on topics of mutual interest.
  • Coordinates with internal subject matter experts (e.g., legislative, federal budget, taxes, energy, labor, product sales, trade) and the overall company position in order to provide government relations guidance and incorporate operating group requirements.
  • Provides assistance and coordination to the government relations company-wide focals on issues regarding the impact of government’s activities.
  • Tracks issue papers and event status. Drafts reports, presentations and documentation (e.g., memos, expense reports, local/state/Federal reporting requirements).

Qualifications
Typical Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree and typically 3 or more years’ related work experience, a Master’s degree and typically 1 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Basic Qualifications (Required)

•Experience utilizing the following MS Office Applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
•Experience in a role that required strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Experience managing changing priorities in a fast-paced collaborative environment

The selected Candidate must enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
