To assist leadership at Corporate Support Center with management and execution of state and local government affairs programs, and to perform advanced, diversified and confidential administrative support.

General Administrative and Budget Support

  • Provide general administrative and budget support to the VP of State Government Affairs and leadership team.
  • Provide travel assistance to stakeholders, process and track invoice payments and expense reports
  • Assist with budget administration/tracking
  • Support meeting planning/logistics
  • Issue and track travel funds
  • Track and respond to external requests for civic and political support
  • Assist with preparation of presentation materials; and manage office supplies, phone calls and calendars

Customer Assistance

  • Manage customer travel issues from state and local public officials
  • Handle routine and highly sensitive customer inquiries and resolve complaints
  • Respond to customers with best course of action based on company policy and the best interest of the customer
  • Provide goodwill with Customers to encourage continued influence the intent to fly United again
  • Work closely with Customer Relations Department, Reservations, local airport officials and Global Services in determining appropriate action for these VIP issues
  • Issue and track travel funds for external partners
  • Assists with reservations and ticketing as needed

Required

  • High school diploma
  • Schedule management
  • Financial tracking to focus on invoicing, accruals, and other detail-oriented projects
  • Excellent oral and written and communications skills
  • Detail oriented organizational skills
  • Minimum 2 years related experience (i.e., customer service, administrative, project management)
  • Proficient with MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
  • Ability to work and maintain professionalism in high-pressure, highly visible environment

Preferred

  • Minimum 2 years of college
  • Proficient with Shares passenger service system
  • Experience working with senior level executives and government officials
