Job Description:
Develop and manage priority initiatives in Congress
Collaborate with local office subsidiaries to create public policy plans to influence state policy including affordable housing for seniors, funding for the Second Chance Act, and funding of MR/DD providers.
Staff the public policy committee and provide training
Plan and execute a variety of local office events to communicate public policy stance
Job Requirements:
7-10 years of government relations experience required, executive experience required
Experience with Healthcare Public Policy is critical to success in this position
Bachelor's Required, Law Degree a major plus
Outstanding communication skills and ability to create strategic plans to position an organization and their stance on certain public policy
Strong leadership skills and ability to manage competing deadlines
