The American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), a national physician specialty society founded in 1932, is seeking a detail-oriented Legislative & Regulatory Affairs professional to provide energy and expertise for its active public policy program. The successful candidate will be proficient in health care policy, particularly the Medicare program and clinical physician issues and have experience working with Capitol Hill.
Responsibilities include oversight of federal legislative and regulatory issues, implementation of ACG policy and advocacy initiatives, and representing the College before the Administration, Congress, medical societies and other health care organizations. This position is also responsible for day-to-day oversight of ACG¹s outside public policy firms.
The position reports to the Executive Director. Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years related work experience required. Must have excellent written and interpersonal communications skills. Limited travel required.
