Prominent election law attorney Kenneth A. Gross is available to answer questions from Public Affairs Council members about federal and state campaign finance rules (including PACs), lobbying registration information (including grassroots), ethics laws and other public-affairs related issues.
Ken, a partner in the firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, is a frequent speaker for many Council conferences and workshops over the past few years. Mr. Gross has given articulate and thorough presentations on these legal issues at the National PAC and National Grassroots Conferences as well as at the Council's Political Involvement Legal Overviews. His presentations are always highly rated and prompt lively question-and-answer sessions as a result of his extensive knowledge. (Read some testimonials about Ken here)
Because there never seems to be enough time to address every inquiry at his presentations, Ken has agreed to respond via telephone to information requests from Council members. It is important to note that Ken will not be providing legal opinions or establishing attorney-client relationships with any of our membership through this service. He will be providing informal explanations of campaign finance laws and lobbying rules and regulations - just like he does during his appearances at our conferences. Members who are uncertain about whether to contact Ken should feel free to contact Council staff first.
