Director, State Legislative Affairs
Support legislative and regulatory efforts to expand access
to naturopathic medicine for AANP State Affiliates. Working with a
dedicated volunteer workforce, you will monitor all state-based activity for
the purpose of collaborating on the design and implementation of a national
advocacy campaign. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will assess
national and state trends, support coalition building, coordinate messaging
with the Association marketing strategy, and provide counsel to state leaders
and their legislative teams.

Qualifications
Minimum 5 years experience in organizing, coalition building and campaign development
Demonstrated track record coordinating grassroots and volunteer activity at the state level
Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills
Expertise in conflict resolution and negotiation skills
Health care advocacy background
Broad-based expertise in program execution, including training, electronic dissemination of information, and media outreach
