The Federal Election Commission requires trade association PACs to obtain prior approval from corporate members before soliciting them for PAC support, creating unique challenges in growing PAC programs. These requirements also introduce additional compliance considerations that can affect many areas of your PAC’s activities and campaigns. Some trade associations face the unique challenge of securing prior approval from corporate members before they can begin soliciting their PAC support. This is an essential task that trade associations must complete in order to remain in compliance with FEC regulations.

Not properly organizing your prior approval records or missing data can not only be a compliance concern, but ultimately slows the growth of your PAC. In this session, we will examine case studies with solutions for streamlining both your prior approval process and record keeping. While digitization has been a movement in the PAC space for some time, the prior approval process is often an afterthought.  Learn to prioritize this first step in order to set your trade association PAC up for success.
