Virtual Workshop: Creative PAC Communications and Solicitations

PAC communications can inform, educate, engage and solicit – and it’s no easy task to create the right balance. This workshop will cover all elements of PAC communications and solicitations. Our experts will cover the process of planning, creating and managing PAC outreach – all with the goal of growing your PAC’s engagement and receipts.

This program is eligible for 2 elective credits towards the Certificate in PAC & Grassroots Management.


1:30 p.m. – Developing an Impactful Content Strategy 

PAC communications are meant to inform, engage and motivate.  Developing compelling content to be strategically dispersed is crucial to your PAC and advocacy success.  Providing distilled financial data or encouraging your eligibles to join your PAC can be difficult without a meaningful content strategy to support your program.  This session will ensure your PAC campaign materials focus on education while telling a persuasive story and demonstrating value.  

Join us and hear from PAC experts on how to: 

  • Determine a solid content strategy that advances your program’s goals and helps motivate your PAC community 
  • Identify best practices in content creation and distribution of meaningful visual content, including low-cost tactics versus what to invest in 
  • Create a content calendar unique to your organization that optimizes key events, other communications and peak audience attention

2:30 p.m. – Running a Successful Solicitation Campaign   

Executing an effective solicitation plan requires strategy, creativity and proper planning. This session will focus on the essential elements, such as identifying the best mediums for outreach, target audience, budget and follow-up strategies to attract new donors and maintain previous ones for your PAC program.  

Hear directly from PAC practitioners on planning and executing successful solicitation campaigns, including:  

  • Segmenting your eligible class and tailoring solicitations 
  • Best practices for written PAC solicitations, while incorporating components such as visuals, videos, events and more  
  • Creative ways of communicating incentives like PAC Match and incorporating key strategies such as peer-to-peer 
  • Ways to turn your PAC presentations and pitches into engagement tools
