This session will cover key aspects of bringing on contract lobbyists, in a regular year and during COVID-19, including:
- Assessing if a full-time employee or a contract lobbyist is the right decision for your policy goals
- Making the case to management to get the budget
- Finding, interviewing, and hiring a contract lobbyist
- Creating sound contracts

3:15-4:15 p.m.- Managing and Evaluating Contract State and Federal Lobbyists
Once you’ve made the hire, you need to create an effective partnership. In this session we’ll share strategies you can apply during COVID-19 and once operations return to normal, including:

- Key dos and don’ts
