Stakeholders and key influencers can make or break your public affairs efforts. How do you keep track and manage your relationships on a global scale? Join us to learn how to identify key stakeholders, as well as build and maintain partnerships – even while working remotely amid COVID-19.

This program is eligible for 2 Specialization credits toward the Certificate in Government Relations and Lobbying and 2 Elective credits toward the Certificate in Public Affairs Management. As a CAE Approved Provider educational program related to the CAE exam content outline, this program may be applied for 2 credits toward your CAE application or renewal professional development requirements.


Session 1: Global Stakeholder Mapping 

Learn to create a stakeholder mapping process that ensures cross-functional continuity and the ability to connect with influencers on top industry issues.  

Topics we’ll cover include: 

  • Stakeholder mapping in the broader context – why should your organization have one, and what does it mean for business? 
  • Setting up a mapping process that works 
  • Deciding who should be involved internally in the mapping process 
  • Challenges of stakeholder mapping at a global scale, and how to best address them

Session 2: Global Relationship Building 

We’ll show you how to use internal and external stakeholder engagement strategies to manage and enhance your organization’s global reputation.  

Topics we’ll cover include: 

  • Why strong global relationships make strong global businesses 
  • Easy and difficult conversations – building alliances and engaging with your global stakeholders on difficult topics 
  • How stakeholder engagement can be measured and communicated internally 
  • Internal stakeholder engagement on a global scale – managing remote teams in the age of COVID19
