In an uncertain and globalized world, global public affairs leaders need to act strategically and have a keen understanding of business risks and the socio-political environment. This half-day seminar will provide an overarching perspective on how to identify, assess, communicate and manage global risks. You’ll hear from public affairs peers, academics and corporate leaders.

This program is eligible for 2 Core credits towards the Certificate in Public Affairs Management.

  • What are the main political and business trends shaping issues in the international arena? What are the main global threats currently facing companies?
  • In this session, we will discuss the concept of risk in today’s uncertain landscape and how it can impact global companies and industries.

9:45 a.m.          Session 2: The Next Threat – Identifying Global Risks Before They Turn Into a Crisis

  • How can companies identify emerging issues before they turn into a crisis? How can global reputational and regulatory risks and crises impact a company’s business, and how can public affairs teams measure and communicate that impact internally
  • This session will explore tools and tactics that can help global public affairs teams anticipate issues and incorporate threats into their strategic planning
