Peer-to-peer is one of the most successful solicitation strategies for PACs and a wonderful way topromote community. However, peer-to-peer programs aren’t built overnight  you need structure and consistency to achieve resultsLearn from experts who have experienced great success with peer-to-peer and explore the do’s and don’ts for this type of solicitation campaign. 

This program is eligible for 2 PAC credits toward the Certificate in PAC & Grassroots Management and 2 elective credits toward the Certificate in Public Affairs Management.


10 a.m.             The Fundamentals of a Successful Peer-to-Peer Program

Peer-to-peer could take your PAC program to the next level, but building or expanding a program to a high level of sophistication is no small task. Join us as we break down the pillars of what it takes to create or enhance an effective peer-to-peer program. Hear from experts who now use peer-to-peer as their number one fundraising tool. In this opening session, we will cover:

  • Why peer-to-peer is so effective and how to make the case for it in your organization
  • The key elements of a peer-to-peer plan as well as goals and metrics to track success
  • What activities to focus on as you launch or scale a program
  • Setting long-and-short-term goals

11:15 a.m.        Recruiting and Training Effective Peer Champions

Your PAC ambassadors are the heart and soul of your peer-to-peer program. Investing your time in proper recruiting and training is critical to success. Our closing session will focus on laying the groundwork for a successful, yet manageable, peer-to-peer program by identifying, recruiting and training PAC champions to be among your most supportive advocates.

This session will cover:

  • Identifying and recruiting peer champions — both starting from scratch and as your program matures
  • Setting your volunteers up for success, including tips for managing peer champions
  • Training tools so your peer solicitors stay effective and compliant
