Agenda

1:30 p.m. A Guide to Social Issue Engagement
Consumers, employees, stakeholders and activists are increasingly looking to the business community to lead on major social issues. Navigating these conversations requires policy knowledge, communications skills, effective leadership and a keen sense of how to build rapport with stakeholders. Most important, it requires the ability to know when and how to engage on an emerging issue.

This opening session will cover the Public Affairs Council’s guide to social issue engagement, which was developed for companies that want to become involved  in social issues affecting their employees, customers or communities. Join us for a discussion on how organizations can develop a thoughtful and intentional process to align corporate values with political involvement and social responsibility.
