COVID-19 Information and FAQ's
The safety of our members is of paramount importance to us. We will continue to closely monitor CDC and local guidelines, and our safety protocols will meet those guidelines. Any updates or changes in protocol will be communicated in a timely manner. Please find more information linked here on current local guidelines as well as CDC guidelines.
Will masks be present?
The Public Affairs Council is closely monitoring federal, state and local guidelines as the COVID-19 situation evolves. The Council will follow CDC and local guidance as they stand at the time of the meeting regarding policies on masks and public safety. These policies will be communicated to attendees prior to arriving on-site.
Will the event be socially-distanced?
We will not require six feet of social distance among attendees, but attendance at this event is capped, allowing increased spacing between attendees. Additionally, all meals will take place outdoors, and we are looking into holding some classes outdoors as well.
How will meals and receptions work?
Weather-permitting, our networking breakfasts, lunches, receptions and most dinners will be held outdoors and served in a safe, hygienic fashion by hotel employees wearing masks. In the event of inclement weather, meals will be moved indoors, but attendance is optional.
What other safety precautions will be in place?
We will have hand sanitizer available throughout the conference and will recommend that attendees avoid physical contact such as handshaking and wash their hands frequently. We will also ask all attendees to sign a code of conduct agreement, which will include an agreement to stay home from the conference in the case of symptoms or exposure to COVID-19.
