Overview:
This position will work with senior leaders at the firm to build and manage communications initiatives for clients across a range of sectors including, but not limited to, education (K12 and higher education), technology, workforce development, financial services, and nonprofit.
A successful candidate will have experience supporting clients and/or multifaceted campaigns, excellent interpersonal skills and will possess strong project management and writing skills. Strong attention to detail and willingness to be an agile, flexible team player are a must. The ideal candidate will have a public affairs, public relations, nonprofit or political background or similar experience. Candidates with a range of experiences – from media relations to thought leadership, social media, and executive communication etc. – will be prioritized.
The position will be based in Indianapolis, Ind.

Overview:
- 4-6 years of experience in strategic communications, public relations, public affairs, campaign or political communications.
- Interpersonal skills, including the ability to work quickly, effectively manage a team, negotiate approvals diplomatically, and maintain composure and production quality under tight deadlines.
- Experience and relationships with relevant media.
- Strong project coordination skills and the ability to recommend, initiate work and projects with minimal direction.
- Experience interfacing directly with clients in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to establish and meet deadlines on time and on budget, work under pressure and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proven ability to develop and edit high quality written materials, including briefing papers, bylines, analytical pieces, website/creative copy, press releases, talking points and more.
- Excellent writing and editing skills that reflect 1) an ability to clarify and simplify complicated issues and diverse subject matter, and 2) versatility in tone and technique depending on the author and/or audience.
