Account Supervisor, PAC Communications
Are you an experienced corporate or association PAC manager, or a successful corporate PAC fundraiser? Do you relish the challenge of engaging employees or association members in supporting an organization’s political involvement? You may be the right person to help expand DDC’s PAC communications practice.
The PAC Communications Account Supervisor is responsible for building and leading a portfolio of corporate and association clients who want to make substantial investments in growing their connected PACs. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Senior Vice President of PAC Services to:
Develop opportunities to grow DDC’s PAC communications practice among our current PAC compliance client base, existing clients in other DDC business verticals, and prospects in the broader corporate and association PAC market
Maintain and grow DDC’s reputation as a provider of custom PAC communications solutions, tailored to the culture, audiences, issues, circumstances, and challenges of each client
Monitor trends in the broader PAC and corporate communications space and ensure DDC’s approach to PAC communications remains at the forefront of what is happening in the communications world more broadly
Build relationships with the Public Affairs Council, BIPAC, and other organizations, as well as individual corporate and association PAC professionals, to help elevate market awareness of DDC’s strategic PAC offerings and thought leadership
Counsel clients on fundraising strategy and goals, PAC eligible engagement and programming, recognition and incentives (including PAC Match programs), and PAC budgeting and giving strategies (e.g., how to navigate an increasingly polarized political environment while maintaining a corporate PAC’s purpose as a bipartisan business PAC)
Design and deliver premium PAC communications programs for clients that apply DDC’s persona-based campaign methodologies and best practices to each client, leveraging in-depth PAC assessments, creative and content resources, and DDC’s industry-leading PAC website platform and other technologies
Partner with account teams in other DDC business verticals to create synergies among various DDC offerings, ensure clients have a consistent experience across DDC’s business functions, and identify opportunities to grow client accounts into new verticals
The PAC Communications Account Supervisor will be a hands-on, day-to-day contributor as well as a strategist. Responsibilities will include:
Develop proposals and RFP responses that effectively position DDC as a premier provider of custom PAC engagement and fundraising strategies and attract clients willing to make significant investments in growing their corporate and association PACs
Conduct in-depth PAC assessments in partnership with other DDC SMEs using a combination of surveys, in-depth interviews, focus groups, communications reviews, PAC website reviews, and historical data analyses to develop detailed strategic recommendations for clients
Create comprehensive, multi-year PAC engagement plans that include audience segmentation, messaging platforms, channel strategies, fundraising and participation goals, and tactical elements to support short- and long-term client PAC growth
Develop and execute against editorial calendars for ongoing PAC communications, solicitations, PAC events, ambassador programs, and recognition and incentive programs
Partner with DDC operational teams to create compelling PAC collateral and communications, from PPTs and brochures to email, newsletters, websites, videos, and webinars, and help clients leverage dynamic PAC website capabilities to diversify their engagement strategies
Explore the use of a range of digital communication tools for PAC communications (e.g., WorkPlace, Yammer, Teams, and other emerging tools)
Monitor and measure PAC performance against goals and benchmarks using metrics that align with each client’s program, and make recommendations for evolving and optimizing PAC messaging and engagement strategies to support continual improvement
Communicate strategic recommendations, performance against goals, and PAC operational performance effectively, including presenting to client leadership, as needed
Ensure client’s PAC engagement efforts remain compliant with relevant FEC and state guidelines for messaging and eligibility restrictions
Basic qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, public relations, or related field
A minimum of three years of relevant PAC communications and fundraising experience, preferably with corporate or association PACs
Understanding of the political and policymaking process at federal, state, and local levels
Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal/written communication, and project management skills
Ability to prioritize and support multiple projects simultaneously, maintain quality, meet deadlines, and effectively satisfy broader objectives over time
Willingness to adapt to the fast-paced, unpredictable nature of public affairs agency work
Expertise in Microsoft Office 365
Expertise in a variety of engagement vehicles, including but not limited to:
Web and social media
Print/long-form digital content
Email
Video
Presentations
In-person and virtual events

DDC has offered a hybrid work environment for many years. Approximately half of our full-time staff are primarily or fully remote. This position will be based in our downtown Washington, D.C., office near the McPherson Square Metro, but we are open to applicants located outside the metropolitan DC area.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $80,000 – $110,000 per year.
Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography.
