Assistant Supplier Diversity Manager

The Assistant Supplier Diversity Manager is a member of the Corporate Responsibility department and will be responsible for aiding in company efforts to champion inclusion and business opportunities with diverse suppliers and subcontractors.


Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned):


  • Assist in the tactical execution of company strategy for increasing annual dollar spend with diverse supplier and trade contractors
  • Support business development efforts by tracking opportunities and trade organization events in Salesforce
  • Create materials for and track the schedule of training and strategy sessions
  • Maintain Smartsheet databases of diverse suppliers for Corporate spend, Field Management and Preconstruction
  • Assist with tracking and reporting data analytics for outreach events, Preconstruction, EQUIP and diverse spend
  • Assist with internal communications by tracking a calendar of upcoming regional and company meetings and events (D&I calendar, weekly huddle, best practices)
  • Manage marketing and social media needs specific to supplier diversity with the goal of increasing the visibility of the company’s supplier diversity efforts
  • Seek out opportunities to share and highlight the work we are doing and assist with outreach events and trade organization presentations
  • Assist with the EQUIP program, including:
    • Managing Campaign Monitor for all outgoing email communications
    • Maintain the EQUIP database and register all new members
    • Keep the website updated
    • Help with branding and yearly strategy creation
  • Assist with diverse supplier mentoring initiatives: create guidelines, track updates and connect mentees
  • Assist with other corporate responsibility and diversity and inclusion initiatives as needed

Education – Skills – Knowledge – Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • A minimum of one year of construction project support or preconstruction-related experience. Experience in the construction industry may be substituted by at least two years of experience working with a supplier diversity program
  • Demonstrated passion for diversity and inclusion initiatives
  • Proven experience in working within a team and in a corporate environment
  • Strategic and analytical thinker; Excellent skills in analyzing data and reporting trends
  • Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks/projects with competing deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven experience with networking and establishing external relationships
  • Ability to create and give presentations
  • Travel required, up to 25%
