Job Description

The Associate Director, ERC Policy and Learning Operations will engage with stakeholders within ERC, Sandoz and external learning and technology vendors to help ensure CIA training requirements are fulfilled annually and that the US Healthcare Compliance Policy and other ERC resources are accurate and accessible to all relevant associates. The ideal candidate is passionate about delivering ERC resources, both Learning and Policy related, that help associates easily understand how to perform their responsibilities in compliance with applicable Sandoz policies, procedures, and CIA requirements.

The Associate Director, ERC Policy and Learning Operations will enhance our Ethics, Risk & Compliance program by furthering our culture of integrity, growth, and accountability.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

•Collaborate with vendors, course owners, relevant associates (global and US) to plan, develop and deliver US ERC learning courses to ensure Sandoz associates receive required training and ensure Sandoz obligations related to the CIA Training Plan for US affiliates are met.
•Manage the assignment, tracking, reporting and follow up of training completions through off-shore services teams for automated training follow-up communications to associates that have not completed assigned training modules on time.
•Maintain completion, exception, and exclusion reports to inform annual CIA certifications.
•Collaborate with ERC team members to develop risk-based training resources.
•Be knowledgeable on US healthcare compliance policies, procedures, and CIA requirements and applicability to associates’ roles and responsibilities.
•Manage revisions to Sandoz Navigator, the US Healthcare Compliance Policy tool, by ensuring that proposed modifications are routed for appropriate approvals, rationale for modifications is clear and ensure all documentation retention requirements are met.
•Support the Policy and Learning Center of Excellence by coordinating reviews of policies, working practice documents, and training courses.
•Maintain the Sandoz Navigator tool and ensure it is accurate and available to associates at all times and continuously improve the user interface, search functionality and other aspects of the site to meet associates’ needs.
•Support Working Practice Document (WPDs) maintenance, ensuring WPDs are accurate and up to date.
•Provide oversight of the WPD repository SharePoint site.
•Own and maintain ERC Policy and Learning SharePoint and MS Teams sites.
•Proactive and continuous evaluation of ERC program initiatives and implement identified improvements.
•Partner with Sandoz Communication function to execute a Sandoz-wide CIA communication plan.
•Engage with US leaders and associates to strengthen a positive culture towards integrity and ethical decision making as an integral part of how we reimagine medicine for patients.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between 151,200 and 226,800/year, however while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/22 through 12/31/22, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Minimum requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

•Bachelor’s or equivalent 4 year University degree required; advanced degree preferred
•5 years of relevant business experience. Preferred combination in jobs relating to analytical finance, auditing, compliance/law or pharmaceutical sales and marketing, project management experience.
•Experience with Learning Management System administration and training completion reporting
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Understand key elements of pharmaceutical compliance program (CIA, policy, monitoring, risk assessment, reporting, etc.)
•Strong organizational and project management skills
•Ability to navigate and effectively work in a matrix organization
•Business savvy and ability to take initiative
•Diligent attention to detail and keen focus on quality work product
•Demonstrate ability to effectively manage confidential and sensitive information appropriately
•Demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage complex projects and multiple projects simultaneously
•Ability to establish stakeholder relationships with internal and external associates
•Ability to travel up to 10%
