Job Description:
BACKGROUND

The Financial Data Exchange (FDX) is a nonprofit organization operating in the US and Canada that is dedicated to promoting and enhancing a common interoperable standard for securely sharing consumer financial data – the FDX API. FDX is currently comprised of 168 financial institutions, fintechs, data aggregators, consumer groups, financial industry groups and service providers who work to further develop, promote, and implement the FDX API’s operating framework. FDX is a subsidiary of FS-ISAC.

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to FDX’s Director of Public Affairs & Marketing, the Marketing and Communications Associate is responsible for helping execute on all the organization’s internal and external communications needs related to its members, brand, positioning and deliverables into the marketplace. These duties include communications work in marketing, media relations, social media, government relations and member services to help deliver FDX messages to target audiences. The ideal candidate is an individual with a background in communications and marketing who is task oriented, creative, self-motivated, and who has skills differentiating the communication needs and context of different audiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with Director of Public Affairs & Marketing to execute FDX’s communications and marketing needs
  • Work with FDX sales team as liaison on content and potential member pipeline
  • Assist Director of Public Affairs & Marketing with marketing campaigns for FDX products & deliverables
  • Assist in production of FDX member-oriented content (Newsletter, Spotlights, Blogs, Webinars, etc.) and help manage overall member communications strategy
  • Develop professional presentation decks and materials for FDX communication
  • Assists with management and updating of FDX website
  • Work with FDX Marketing, PR & Government Affairs Working Groups and Taskforces to manage agendas, meeting reports and action items
  • Work with Director of Public Affairs & Marketing on organization’s social media strategy and execution
  • Track & organize ecosystem conferences, awards and communications opportunities
  • Management of performance and analytics data on FDX marketing and communication efforts

POSITION QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a communications or marketing position
  • Exceptional knowledge of marketing and communications strategies and practices, including social media and analytics
  • Detail oriented, strong organizational skills and effective at time and project management
  • Creative skills in the production of presentation, website and social media content
  • Exception written and verbal communication skills

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communications, Marketing or related field
