Description

The Business & Regulatory Analyst is a complex, challenging role that will be perform two primary functions:

  • Maintain the matrix for current RPACE jurisdictions and help interpret legal documents provided by Government Affairs, Product, Legal and Treasury teams to create the inventory and crosswalk for each new jurisdiction.
  • Facilitate the process of determining what the legal business requirement should be in order to implement within technology and business processes related to customer onboard, lending origination, servicing and warehousing.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities (others may be assigned)

  • Building new processes utilizing best practices for document automation, archival, auditability, compliance, and traceability
  • Analyze and synthesize financial/legal document content across multiple sources in order to understand similarities and differences, escalating to Legal Counsel to track decisions that are needed
  • Project Management: estimate project deliverables, assess/report progress, track deadlines; facilitate cross functional meetings, set agendas and drive progress to ensure outcomes are met

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

  • Three (3) years professional experience building new processes within a highly regulated industry (Financial Services, Insurance, etc.)

  • Experience reviewing regulatory documents, document tracing and management

  • Highly detail oriented and organized; proactive self-starter

  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant computer programs (Google platform/ Sheets) to effectively manage, track, and document activities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with RegTech a plus

  • Writing business requirements and users stories (to turn into business rules)

  • Consumer Finance, PACE or other multi-regional/jurisdictional home improvement lending experience a plus
