The successful candidate anticipates, prioritizes and coordinates the activities of the President & CEO and Vice Presidents, ensuring timely follow-up from key leadership meetings and other matters prioritized by President & CEO. This  individual leads and provides oversight for the Mayo Clinic Executive Office, including the Executive Outreach, Executive Review and Executive Correspondence functions to ensure alignment of strategies and activities with Mayo Clinic’s objectives and that established performance targets are met and exceeded. These functions include: ensuring appropriate follow-up on agreed upon actions of the leadership team; coordinating the review of content and development of proactive strategies to place the CEO and Vice Presidents in internal and external settings to best meet the organization’s strategic priorities; gathering input and assembly of research to inform the President & CEO and the Vice Presidents in advance of public appearances and on issues of institutional importance.

Demonstrated strong administrative leadership and senior management expertise. Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of experience to include the following areas of expertise: healthcare, internal and external communications, corporate communications, and leadership and government relations; OR a Master’s degree and 8 years of experience to include the following areas of expertise: healthcare, internal and external communications, corporate communications and leadership.
