The Position

The Novo Nordisk manufacturing facility in West Lebanon, NH has a new opportuity for a Communication Partner to join our team to plan, develop and implement all Biotech & Rare Disease (BRD) API US communication and branding strategies to support business success. The person in this role will partner with the HR Manager for the site, Corporate Communication and BRD Communication (DK) on external communication strategy and execution. This position will be the lead collaborater with other NN communication professionals to align branding with site and Product Supply standards. As part of the internal communication strategy this position will support development and execution of communication programs for leaders and coach and develop others to support communications and change management activities for successful implementation of projects, initiatives & strategy. Manage events/tours/visitors, as required.

Essential Functions

  • Partner with BRD API US HR Manager and BRD Communication partners to develop and implement communication plans according to corporate and BRD communication priorities and business needs. This includes strategy comprehension, change management and organizational culture
  • Communicate and drive activities that clarify the direction and importance of the site business strategy
  • Collaborate and act as contact for corporate initiatives to raise awareness of business initiatives
  • Leads the development and implementation of the local Branding Strategy; assesses related corporate branding opportunities and strategies and advances recommendations designed to inform the business of reputational implications
  • Partners with stakeholders to ensure key NN/PS brand messages are fully and appropriately leveraged within external communications activities
  • Develops methods and tools to measure the impact of communications programming; analyzes data/findings, and recommends course corrections or program enhancements as needed
  • Coach and develop leaders in effective communication strategies
  • Develop tools and methods to reduce communication gaps between senior leadership and shop floor, including site meetings, Leaders Forum, etc. Provide leaders with feedback and advise on communication plans, messaging and execution
  • Execute on tactics supporting external communications and public affairs strategy in alignment with priorities of BRD management and Corporate Communications and Corporate Affairs
  • Lead strategy and execute communication channel solutions (SharePoint, digital news, digital signage, digital workplace applications, etc.)
  • Prepare materials for BRD strategy development and meetings
  • Update site targets and present status to BRD management team
  • Prepare presentations for site CVP for lateral and elevated audiences
  • Develop and execute editorial calendar for business-relevant news and event distribution
  • Other accountabilities, as assigned

Physical Requirement

Occasionally moves equipment and/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions. Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment using hands. Able to travel domestically and internationally, up to 10% of the time. Able to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Able to work the hours necessary to support a 24/7 continuous manufacturing operation. Able to adjust schedule to work with colleagues in other international time zones.



  • Education and Certifications
    • BA/BS in Organizational Communications, Public Relations, Organizational development, or related field, with a strong background in communications and/or change management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (MA/MS/MBA in similar field preferred.)
  • Work Experience
    • Minimum of five (5) years of experience planning and implementation of organizational communication activities listed above
    • Support of multi-shift manufacturing or pharmaceutical organization preferred
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Advanced knowledge and experience with MS PowerPoint
    • Proficient in MS SharePoint and other Microsoft applications
    • Strong knowledge of business and communication challenges
    • Demonstrated experience and excellence in coaching and meeting facilitation
    • Outstanding written, verbal and public speaking communication skills
    • Outstanding organization and planning skills for development and execution of programs
    • Proficient with photography and video editing and production skills
    • Strong project management skills
    • Demonstrated experience in successfully partnering with others and working in a matrix environment
    • Outstanding organization and planning skills for development and execution of programs


This position is located in West Lebanon, New Hampshire and will require onsite work and collaboration. It is a full time (40 hour per week) position and the standard schedule is Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm.
