What You’ll do
Working cross-functionally with the US business and globally to develop, plan and implement content and communication strategies for both in house and external campaigns, the ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent writing and project management skills in working with agencies, external contractors and the in-house team to deliver under tight deadlines. Top candidates will be skilled at creating content that both engages our various audiences and helps further our business objectives.
Working together with business units in the US to identify requirements and address needs, translating this into content strategies and media plans that build stakeholder engagement and brand recognition
Collaboratively working with other stakeholders including bp to ensure consistent delivery on messaging and maximizing channel output
Implement and maintain an effective reporting and tracking system to ensure targets and deadlines are continually reviewed
Implement robust media and social media campaigns for the US business, in coordination with our global digital goals
Continue to push the boundaries by developing new ideas for bright and engaging content that would meet Corporate Function’s KPIs
Event management where associated with US communication campaigns
Conduct regular reviews with business units to assess the effectiveness of communication material and put forward ideas for improvements.
Writing and dispatching of US media plans and press releases
Preparing presentations and briefing documents were required
Assisting at corporate events
Dealing with administrative tasks associated with delivering projects such as raising purchase orders
Maintaining and reporting on budgets where required
Working with our brand partners to deliver joint communication projects where required
Who we’re looking for
A general understanding of the solar/renewable industry a plus
Developing and delivering both internal and external communication strategies
Articulating briefs into creative and engaging content
Being able to translate business requirements and into effective communication campaigns
Implementing budgets and reporting structures on activities
Using social media channels to effectively deliver marketing content
Knowledge of SEO content creation a plus
Qualifications / Work Skills
A degree in English, journalism or communications preferred, but not a requirement
A skilled and articulate writer
Demonstrated ability to create effective, targeted content
Strong presentation and communication skills
Microsoft Office including advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint
2-3 years’ experience in Marketing, Communications or similar field required
Experience managing external agencies – design, digital, press, public affairs to deliver content-based projects preferred
2-3 years’ experience in writing copy and content across a broad range of collateral required
Experience in developing and executing marketing campaigns, including SEO, digital advertising and social media marketing preferred
