Description:This role plans and executes strategic internal and external communications, including community relations, in support of Lockheed Martin’s Greenville, South Carolina, site. The selected candidate will develop and implement communications plans to support employee and executive communications, community engagement, media relations and special events such as all-employee meetings, rollouts and other ceremonies. The candidate must be a communications generalist with a reputation for building strong relationships and working across organizational boundaries to shape outcomes. The successful candidate must be experienced with both internal and external communications and work well in a team environment.
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience writing internal communications, including writing for the web, or internal and external audiences and a strong understanding of AP style.
• Experience handling multiple priorities and meeting set deadlines.
• Experience cultivating and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues, leaders and community partners.
Desired Skills:
• Experience working in a complex organization with multiple stakeholders.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and oral communications skills with the ability to convey highly complex information in clear, compelling ways.
• Proven relationship management skills across the nonprofit sector, and experience working with a variety of foundations, corporations, military/ veteran organizations, or STEM outreach programs.
• Experience with budget preparation and management, audits and reporting.

Ability to Work Remotely:Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position:4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week
