corporations, as well as small start-ups. We combine expertise in policy, regulation, consulting, advocacy,

and alliance building to help clients navigate the legislative and regulatory environments to create

opportunities, resolve problems, direct action, and build and maintain positive interactions with key

federal policymakers and influencers.

SUMMARY: The Vogel Group is looking for a Communications Director with 2-4 years of experience

in communications. Experience in public relations, government relations, or policy are not required, but

highly desirable.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

● Writing and editing firm communications plans, blogs/op-eds, social copy, messaging and

materials ensuring quality and consistency with appropriate writing styles;

● Developing and cultivating a wide network of media and stakeholder relationships;

● Managing all web content for the firm website and social media accounts;

● Drafting and managing social media campaigns across firm social platforms;

● Identify compelling award and sponsorship opportunities for the firm;

● Manage firm budget for communications and external engagement opportunities;

● Assist with profile-raising initiatives for CEO and other firm Principals;

● Actively monitor and synthesize media coverage for specific client accounts;

● Designing weekly client updates as it pertains to legislative and regulatory updates;

Qualifications/Requirements:

● A bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience;

● Ability to establish and cultivate strong long-term relationships with members of the media;

● Excellent writing and oral communication skills; Ability to multitask, handling several

high-priority initiatives at a fast-paced organization;

● Highly motivated self-starter that can independently take initiative;

● Professionalism, confidence, and drive;

● Exceptional strategic, creative, interpersonal skills;

● Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a team;

● Passion for communications.
