Responsibilities

The Corporate Communications Director will be responsible for all Driven Brands Communications.  The individual will report to the Head of Investor Relations and work in close partnership with the entire Executive Team (ET): CEO, CFO, General Counsel, CPO, and the 5 Group Presidents.

 

  • Develop and manage the Driven Brands Communications strategy
  • Lead and execute communications for Driven Brands and our key individual brands across 3 main audiences:
    • Corporate: Internal – drive the engagement of our employees, build and reinforce the Driven Brands culture through:
      • Employee Written Communications
      • Employee Meetings
      • Driven Brands Charitable Foundation
      • Build the Communications Portal/Intranet
    • Corporate/Brand: External – build and protect Driven Brands reputation with key corporate audiences:
      • Press Releases (including Development)
      • Corporate Social Responsibility
      • Crisis Communication Plans & Preparedness
    • Franchisees – transform relationship between Driven Brands and our Franchisees:
      • Timely Delivery of Program Calendars (Marketing, Training, Operations Plans)
      • Orchestrate Semi-Annual/Annual Meetings & Conventions
      • Keep Audiences Current on Industry Developments

Qualifications

  • Team Leader – drives disparate groups to success, either as leader or as team member; drives the success of the teams that they’re on
  • Process Manager – knows how to get things done and how to build structures that ensure success: builds processes, works back from the due date, engages all stakeholders proactively in the process, knows how to parallel path work, an effective delegator and on-time/on-budget deliverer
  • Data-Driven – high quality decision making and insights generation through relentless study and analysis of the data
  • Business Mindset – P&L-driven and thinks like an Owner, primarily interested in how activities directly impact the profitability of the enterprise
  • Thought Leader – will roll up their sleeves to get into the details and works alongside the various stakeholders (Franchisees, Operations Leaders) throughout the process to commercialize/bring winning ideas to market
  • Strong copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Demonstrated expertise and experience working with (or within) agencies
  • Extensive written communications experience:  able to create copy and content while writing, editing, publishing communications written for the audience in a very specific, intentional voice
  • Familiar and adept with communications & publishing structures that ensure engagement of audiences 
  • Experienced in managing budgets, agencies, and outputs across written, live presentation, video and digital channels

Strongly preferred:

  • Background in Franchise (or Dealer, Distributor, Sales Agent, etc.) environments
  • Worked in retail service environments
  • Public company experience
