  • Manage content flow to better leverage opportunities to grow CRES’s share of voice in industry and mainstream media;
  • Create and market new content including blog posts, podcasts, op-eds, and video interviews around specific CRES-backed policy proposals;
  • Help identify opportunities for leveraging newsworthy events to deliver CRES’s messages to the media;
  • Keep the team apprised of new developments in the clean energy conversation;
  • Help support government leaders who’s work closely aligns with CRES’s core mission and values;
  • Assist the communications team and Executive leadership with building and maintaining exceptional professional relationship with communications staff and target journalists;
  • Research and prepare intel briefs and talking points ahead of key interviews;
  • Assist CRES spokespeople on developing presentation decks and talking points for public appearances;
  • Staff CRES leadership on press interviews and public appearances;
  • Staff VIP speakers at CRES-organized events;
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Four to six years of experience as a press representative on Capitol Hill, at a high- profile government agency, or for a high-profile public figure;
  • Professional relationships with reporters at Beltway publications and top-tier mainstream news outlets who cover politics, energy, sustainability, climate and/or or technology and innovation;
  • Successful track record of developing key messaging and talking points on newsworthy topics from a conservative point of view;
  • Experience serving as a spokesperson for a high-profile public figure, organization, or brand;
  • Experience working directly with principal-level officials for public events and/or media interviews;
