 U.S. Bank is currently seeking a Communications Manager, who will provide communications support for Elavon, the global merchant processing subsidiary of U.S. Bank. The person in this role will report directly to the Communications Strategy Lead for Payment Services, within the Public Affairs and Communications team. He/she will work closely with two peers supporting internal and external communication for Elavon in North America and Europe.

Additional responsibilities include:
• Creatively imagines new ways to tell the Elavon story to multiple internal and external audiences;
• Collaborates with colleagues in Payments Communications, Business Line Communications, and Public Affairs and Communications teams to ensure consistency of message and no redundancy of efforts;
• Works with partners and business line leaders within Elavon to understand the business, our story, and how we can integrate our efforts;
• Supports the strategic direction of internal and external communications for Elavon globally;
• Collaborates to develop communications plans, identifies success metrics, and ensures regular reporting of results; and
• Remains current with industry news, topics, and trends.


 Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
• Eight to ten years of experience in communications activities

Preferred Skills/Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or related field
• Ten-plus years of experience in communication and/or public relations, with experience in financial services or fintech
• Proven experience in developing and executing a clear strategy to help the company achieve its objectives
• Comfortable operating in a complex, fast-paced environment
• Contemporary approach to communication strategy, utilizing both earned/traditional media and owned/social media channels
• Demonstrated leadership skills, diplomacy, and ability to gain buy-in from diverse teams
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Commitment to do the right thing and represent U.S. Bancorp with ethics and integrity
