Communications Manager


Phreesia is looking for a Communications Manager to join our growing Demand Generation team and play an integral role in shaping our communications strategy and building awareness of our brand. This individual will have demonstrated experience in healthcare media relations, public relations, outreach and other core communications functions, and will have established contacts at trade and business media outlets. We’re looking for a skilled storyteller who knows the healthcare industry well and can hit the ground running. The ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and a positive attitude are essential.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Work with the Senior Content Director and other teams across Phreesia to develop a communications plan that identifies creative, strategic and targeted opportunities to build awareness of our brand, and then execute on that plan 
  • Manage PR, media relations and other earned media functions, including writing engaging press releases; cultivating relationships with journalists; pitching client-driven stories to healthcare trade and business media outlets; and securing impactful media placements   
  • Help create and optimize content for our website 
  • Support the company’s crisiscommunications and reputationmanagement efforts 
  • Drive internal communications efforts
  • Create high-quality content across a range of other channels, including email marketing, video testimonials and product collateral
  • Provide SEO support  
  • Manage our relationships with various partner organizations  

What You’ll Bring: 

  • A minimum of 7-8 years of relevant communications experience  
  • Exceptional writingediting and verbal communication skills  
  • Understanding of the U.S. healthcare system (required)and experience in health IT (preferred) 
  • Demonstrated track record of media placements in healthcare trades and business publications
  • Experience distilling complex topics into engaging content that targets different audiences 
  • Proven ability to work efficiently, effectively and proactively in a fast-paced, measurement-driven organization 
  • Creativity and attention to detail 
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams   
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
