At Grant Thornton, our professional staff applies traditional, cutting-edge approaches and methods to a variety of analyses. As part of our team, the Senior Associate will utilize various methodologies and models to execute client projects.
Support the Client(VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) program as a Communications Manager and Newsletter Production Editor.
Manage, edit, and produce printed and electronic documents, manuals, and reports.
Work with other authors to improve and publish articles.
Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization).
Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, capture, account teams, whitepapers, conferences, and/or other thought leadership materials.
Bachelor’s Degree required from an accredited college or university
Experience publishing articles in line with Associated Press style and news writing in diverse fields to include; federal government, academic institutions, trade associations, or commercial entities is a must.
Experience in the following areas: Technical Writing, Communications and Interaction, Copyeditor, Project Management Experience, Overall Years of Relevant Professional Business Experience, Performance Measurement and Monitoring, Advanced Planning and Scheduling, Risk Management and Mitigation.
Explicit journalism and news writing/editing experience
Proven past performance working with newspapers and magazines
Strong communications and production experience
Experience with GovDelivery
Experience managing Information Technology related projects.
Experience in the VA
Experience implementing Electronic Health Records
Ability to obtain and maintain certain job-related certifications if no job-related advanced degrees.
U.S. citizenship may be required. Ability to work in the United States indefinitely required.
Travel may be required.
Ability to work overtime required on occasion.
Ability to sit in an office environment for long periods of time.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
Ability to obtain and maintain firm independence and abide by firm ethics requirements.
Meet or exceed continuing professional education (CPE) requirements.
