Normal, IL
·       Strategize with the Plant Communications Manager on appropriate connections to the local community that
can be adapted or maintained across Rivian locations
·       Build and maintain a network database of community contacts and opportunities
·       Receive and respond to all sponsorship and donations requests from outside (and internal) sources
·       Work with the brand team in creating opportunities for internal event participation, such as major external community charity
·       Manage a community giving fund specific to Bloomington-Normal, track recipients over time, and present giving results periodically
·       This position will also assist the Plant Communications Manager in developing policies for community and visitor experiences, and will collaborate with the Customer Experience group


    •   At least three years of community relations, guest/membership relations, or another relevant external communications experience
    •   “That’s not my job” isn’t in your vocabulary: you’re willing to pitch in, learn, adapt, and work as a truly integrated team
    •  Passionate storyteller: you share stories through a variety of mediums, whether they’re in-person events, virtual settings, or in writing (photography skills are a plus)
    • Energetic and personable: a large part of the job will be relationship-based interactions
    • Skills to distill complex topics into resonant, easy-to-understand content
    • Super organized and committed to follow through: you have checklists for your checklists, you often think 10 steps ahead, and when it’s done, you know how to measure the success of your work
    • Ability to consider the bigger picture and possess the willingness to get into the specifics when needed
