Healthy Minds is an emotional resiliency educational program designed for members and providers.  Programs components include live classes at community centers and other venues, a Healthy Mindsets Website, and hard copy educational tools and materials that promote good mental health.   Healthy Minds is distributed to our member through our annual mailers, internal providers, medical management teams, and community centers.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversight and monitoring of Healthy Minds classes and materials for the Mountain West Region
  • Collaborate with Optum Community centers in scheduling and staffing of Healthy Minds classes
  • Collaborate with Optum marketing, MTW Regional BH Department BSL, and Mindability (vendor) for timely shipment of Healthy Minds website and educational materials to internal Mountain West medical management teams, primary care providers and community centers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with providers and regional markets to create specialty support groups and onsite Healthy Minds training programs for members and providers

Required Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma
  • 5+ years of experience in community health education
  • Proven ability to work independently
  • Comfortable with public speaking
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance. Candidates must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Medicaid or managed care experience
  • Established professional relationships with community-based organizations (CBO’s), faith-based organizations (FBO’s), providers and local Department of Health and Human Services
  • Objective, collaborative approach; ability to adapt in a dynamic and high-growth environment
  • Exceptional written, verbal, analytical, organizational, problem solving and presentational skills
