Role Overview

Since its inception, thought leadership has been critical to Chartis’ market positioning. Our consultants are avid content creators and passionate about creating thought leadership that moves the healthcare industry forward. We are looking for someone who loves to write and has a passion for turning ideas into words, picture and video. This role will report to the Chief Marketing Officer and be a driving force in shaping and positioning Chartis’ thought leadership across paid, owned and earned channels to break through the clutter and engage audiences.

The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller who is skilled at turning boring into brilliant and developing compelling stories that resonate with C-level stakeholders. This individual will have assembled a dynamic portfolio of relevant content that follows channel best practices and managed a robust content and editorial calendar.


      Drive the execution of our content strategy: engage with internal stakeholders to define the editorial calendar and maintain a robust pipeline of timely content

      Review and edit content: provide feedback to authors to strengthen content quality and visual impact

      Contribute to content creation: while you’ll have lots of help creating content from our subject matter experts, you’ll be expected to take concepts and translate them into other mediums, such as webinars, conference presentations, collateral, news releases, web copy, blog posts, case studies, white papers, videos, infographics and other materials

      Manage content production: team with authors, Creative Services and others on the marketing team to develop creative formats and approaches to content publishing

      Promote content: you’ll develop plans for content distribution via social media, email, PR, paid media and other channels

      Measure and optimize content performance: consistently measure and optimize how content is performing across channels

      Lead traditional earned media strategy relations working with our PR agency

      Manage and maintain relationships with industry organizations, business press and trade press

      Work seamlessly with external partners, key stakeholders and as part of the Chartis marketing team



      Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Advertising, Journalism or Communications

      7+ years of experience in marketing, agencies or internal creative services, including at least two in content marketing

      Strong portfolio of impactful, modern content pieces

      Demonstrated writing ability that is inspirational, frank and avoids marketing fluff and healthcare jargon

      Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

      Experience in healthcare, technology, professional services or agencies, preferred

Skills and personal characteristics

      Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use data to inform all decisions

      Standout idea generator and problem solver

      Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables effectively, under deadlines

      Skilled at influencing and collaborating with others

      Keen curiosity for continuous learning and ability apply insights to the business

      Energized by a fast-paced, growth-focused organization

      Ability to be flexible, work in ambiguous situations and adapt to changing business requirements

      A drive to innovate and introduce new approaches
