San Francisco, CA

About Pinterest:

Millions of people across the world come to Pinterest to find new ideas every day. It’s where they get inspiration, dream about new possibilities and plan for what matters most. Our mission is to help those people find their inspiration and create a life they love. As a Pinterest employee, you’ll be challenged to take on work that upholds this mission and pushes Pinterest forward. You’ll grow as a person and leader in your field, all the while helping users make their lives better in the positive corner of the internet.

We’re looking for an experienced and thoughtful team player to join our Policy team as a Content Policy Manager. You will focus on making our content policies scalable and enforceable, including working closely with our Trust & Safety team on training, quality and alignment, with our International Team to localize our guidance, and with our Product teams on designing scalable enforcement. You’ll also work closely with our Legal, Public Policy and Comms teams to develop, refine and launch policies that help ensure Pinterest is a safe and positive experience for everyone.

What you’ll do:

  • Work with your Policy teammates, Trust & Safety and Product to scale our policies and policy enforcement
  • Refine our policies and enforcement guidance with the help of internal and external experts to help us prepare for trends and risks in the content safety and policy world
  • Partner with our International team to ensure our content policies work well for our Pinners across the globe, including by developing more representative enforcement guidance and trainings

What we’re looking for:

  • 4+ years of experience in an online policy, preferably online safety policy, policy enforcement, or policy operations role
  • Strong understanding of global online safety trends and risk areas
  • Experience with scaling policy and enforcement, including designing enforcement guidance, developing trainings, and participating in quality & alignment processes
  • Excellent judgement and critical thinking skills: you can assess numerous inputs to create your own vision and recommendations on how to move forward
  • Demonstrated experience working with Operations, Product, International, and Legal teams. Experience working with Public Policy and Communication teams a plus
  • An autonomous leader with strong writing skills and great verbal communication
  • A skilled relationship builder who maintains strong partnerships across the company and is comfortable weighing tradeoffs and making difficult decisions
