Coordinator, Government Relations Programs
Directs and handles all Automobile Political Action Committee (ACPAC) activities, including day-to-day PAC management and operation, budgeting, check requests and disbursements, payroll verification, employee solicitation, event planning, communications and compliance reporting. Master the use of third party PAC management tools to administer the PAC and federal/state legally mandated reporting.
Assists in the implementation of Government Relations programs by coordinating several aspects of department functions. Assists in the implementation of Government Relations operations, engagement, and grassroots involvement activities throughout the ACG footprint. Serves as PAC subject matter expert, supporting improvement of processes and training. Works with ACG tax area regarding company lobbying to conform to IRS reporting requirements.
Serve as primary point of contact for ACPAC, compiling any requested and/or necessary data/status reports, and communicating appropriate information to internal parties. Coordinates semi-annual employee lobbying message to collect information and report as required by law.
Assists the Vice President and Director in monitoring legislative action and communicates with government personnel to maintain an awareness of activity. Coordinate and prepare all ACPAC Board meeting materials, including the annual report.
Demonstrates understanding of strategic objectives of a government and regulatory affairs office and its relationship to ACPAC.
Works with other company departments to leverage company assets to assist in Government Relations activities. Demonstrates understanding of federal and state election laws and regulations.
