AGC is looking for a Coordinator of Political and Government Affairs to join our team – an
individual who is energetic, self-motivated, creative, and customer-service focused. This
position will provide vital support to the AGC PAC and Construction Advocacy Fund, fundraisers,
congressional jobsite tours, and construction policy initiatives.
Responsibilities:
 Manages day-to-day operations of the AGC PAC
 Provides support to Director of Political Affairs, Vice President of Government Relations and
lobbying team
 Acts as liaison among the AGC national office, AGC Capitol Hill townhouse, and
congressional fundraisers
 Organizes and executes congressional jobsite tours for AGC staff, chapters, and members
 Works with the Public Affairs & Strategic Initiatives Team to provide media support for
government affairs activities
 Monitors state and local construction policy trends
Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess the following:
 Bachelor’s degree preferred
 Minimum 1-2 years related experience preferably from a campaign, grassroots, political, or
congressional office setting
 Strong verbal and written communications skills required
 Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
 Team player with cooperative spirit and willingness to juggle multiple projects at one time
 Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) – Office 365 experience
preferred
