Counsel- Bank Regulatory
This attorney will be part of the Legal Supervisory team within BNY Mellon’s Public Policy and Government Affairs team, focusing on bank supervisory matters and regulatory examinations. Responsibilities will include supporting the Office of Regulatory Relations and providing advice to BNY Mellon’s businesses and business partner groups in connection with all aspects of BNY Mellon’s U.S. supervisory relationships and examinations. Responsibilities will also include preparation of presentations, speakers, and other materials for regulatory interactions. This attorney will work closely with colleagues in the Legal Department, Office of Regulatory Relations, business partner groups, and businesses in executing on BNY Mellon’s regulatory and supervisory strategy.
- Advanced Legal degree with 5-7 years of legal experience at a law firm and/or large financial institution, with strong working knowledge of U.S. federal and state banking laws and regulations
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Excellent writing skills
- Highly responsive, with a strong sense of urgency, and willingness to take on multiple responsibilities
- Litigation experience a plus
