Digital Communications Specialist – Center on International Cooperation
Position Summary
Arts & Science is seeking a talented Digital Communications Specialist to join the Center on International Cooperation (CIC). This individual will enhance Center on International Cooperation’s (CIC) social media platforms, digital communication, and research data presentation. Maintain, monitor, and analyze CIC’s research programs’ websites, social media channels, and email marketing, including analytics, to inform digital strategies. Develop, produce and design interactive, visual communications, and digital products; and support communication efforts for events, special projects, and initiatives. Collaborate with communications team, program directors, and researchers supporting CIC’s communication strategy, while aligning CIC research goals and objectives.
Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field required.
Preferred Education:
Master’s Degree in relevant degree
Required Experience:
3+ years of relevant experience with website production and maintenance, digital media production and management, design (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite), digital project management.
Preferred Experience:
3+ years of experience in a digital communications/media role within a marketing team or agency. Experience in international NGOs or think tanks preferred, such as development and peacebuilding. Experience or demonstrated interest in contributing to planning efforts and supporting communications strategies in organizations that have multiple research areas. Experience working in a fast-paced environment with limited budgets and resources. Experience working on multiple projects at a time, using strong communication skills to manage expectations appropriately.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent communication skills, including writing and editing ability. Strong understanding of the various digital channels/platforms. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent project-management skills; high versatility and agility to balance multiple projects across teams and functional areas. Experience contributing to planning efforts and supporting communications strategies in organizations that have multiple functional areas. Fluency in English and one additional language, with a preference for another UN language.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Communications subject matter expert on international affairs, peace, justice, advocacy, and commitment to issues relevant to CIC’s work.
Additional Information
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $67,500.00 to USD $75,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
