YOUR ROLE AT FEAREY

The Digital Marketing & Social Media Manager will be responsible for planning, developing, managing and implementing digital marketing and social media strategies and campaigns for our clients and our own needs.

The Digital Marketing & Social Media Manager will be part of a fast-growing, integrated team—working hand-in-hand with the Creative Director and creative team—to offer a comprehensive suite of strategic communications services. The position will report into the firm’s President and CEO. The role also supports the PR team.

You will manage our social media strategist, supporting, reviewing and overseeing their workload and deliverables, while helping to coach and guide this person in their career.

You will be a part of ongoing sales efforts to grow the digital studio and you will be a part of discussions on how best to build the practice within the agency.

EXPERIENCE

A successful candidate has digital marketing or social media agency experience.

You should be able to develop content strategies for social media, augment those efforts with paid advertising, be able to pull and utilize analytics on the progress of the organic and paid efforts, and coherently present to clients, recommending updates or changes as the data suggests.

While this role will have an emphasis on social media & paid social strategy, you should have an understanding of other paid media efforts, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), conversion optimization, website analytics monitoring, plus you are a detail-oriented individual with project management skills.

*Bonus point if you have experience managing, and even growing a team, with a drive to lead and shape the department to reach company goals and support our clients to meet theirs.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or Social Media
  • 8+ years developing, managing and implementing digital marketing and social media strategies in an agency
  • Management experience preferred
  • Experience putting together proposals and presenting strategies and pitch work to clients and potential clients
  • Strong ability to manage multiple ongoing tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate with clients and senior members of the account team to explain strategies, ideas and concepts thoroughly
  • Positive and professional attitude and demeanor that lends itself to quality client service and team building
  • Excellent written and verbal skills

  • Self-starter – ability to work well alone and with others
  • Knowledge of working within Sprout Social preferred
  • Previous work with Google Analytics
RESPONSIBILITIES

Internal

  • Manage current and future staff members as part of the Digital Marketing & Social Media team by conducting monthly 1:1’s and supporting them in their career development
  • Recruit and support hiring of new staff members within the department
  • In collaboration with the Creative Director, support management of the Fearey website to make proactive recommendations to continuously optimize the user experience and online marketing performance
  • Support agency sales efforts (both proactive and reactive) by joining calls, pitches, and leading proposal creation in accordance with any digital or social needs
  • Maintain grasp of competitive landscape, market opportunities, and trends across the digital experience and champion information dissemination across the organization and into the firm’s DNA
  • Collaborate with partner agencies and other vendors to enhance Fearey’s digital offerings
  • Lead internal team to create social media strategy, organic social media engagement and social media advertising campaigns
  • Setup reporting for reliable and real time data for the internal marketing team and executive team
  • Collaborate with our content creators on blog strategies to create high-quality, SEO-friendly blog content aligned to our keyword space
  • Manage Fearey website SEO/SEM and develop strategies to drive organic growth

General

  • Conduct or participate in discovery calls for new clients, or clients utilizing our digital or social offerings for the first time
  • Develop comprehensive content strategies for digital marketing and social media, as best meets client goals
  • Utilize key metric data to provide guidance and recommendations on updates or changes to campaign strategies

Paid Media

  • Manage the strategy, setup, budget, optimization and reporting of all paid media campaigns
  • Meet with clients and account leads to understand specific needs and manage the creation of strategies to meet their goals
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (return on investment and key performance indicators), for both clients and Fearey
  • Identify trends and insights to inform new and creative growth strategies

 Analytics

  • Demonstrates remarkable knowledge in data reporting and metric tracking
  • Partner with clients and account leads to establish reliable tracking and reporting for measuring digital campaigns and key performance indicators
  • Optimize campaigns as-needed to support insights from reported analytics and data
  • Continuously challenge the status quo and look for ways to take performance to new levels
  • Will operate within and pull reports from Google Analytics, Meta Business Manager, and Sprout Social, and other resources as necessary
