Director, Career Pathways Innovation and Public Policy
New York University’s School of Profressional Studies is seeking a Director, Career Pathways Innovation and Public Policy to lead and ensure the success of the Career Pathways Bridge Program and lead and design the process for SPS’s overall high school pathways programming that will serve as a feeder to SPS degree programs. Other responsibilities will include grant and funding proposal writing; codifying lessons learned for scaling programs internally and externally; supporting the Assistant Dean of Educational Pathways and Strategic Operations with special projects; represent SPS in Workforce Development task forces and other City and State workforce development initiatives.
7+ years Relevant experience or equivalent combination. Must include substantial professional experience in a related area and/or experience developing and marketing programs, counseling students, and supervising instructional and support staff.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to plan, develop and implement programs, courses, and certificates and to develop strategic partnerships internally and externally as needed. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, evaluate programs and instructional staff. Ability to market programs and retain students. Familiarity with emerging technologies, including distance learning.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Must be well versed in quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy of data in NYU systems and be able to strictly follow data privacy and security procedures for data handling and analysis to ensure adherence to legal and institutional standards.
