Summary of Role:

Do you have experience with executive communications, strategic communications and leading and directing internal communications with an employee-centric approach? The Corporate and Employee Communications Director will be responsible for developing,  leading and implementing an internal communications strategy for GlobalFoundries. Bring your energy and expertise to GF and help engage and inform our employees around the globe.

The successful candidate will be part of the global communications team responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing strategies and campaigns to improve communications and engagement with employees. They will work closely with senior leadership, HR professionals, and department managers to create and implement effective communications and engagement programs that drive employee satisfaction, retention, productivity and foster a positive work environment.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and carry out a communications strategy that drives alignment with the overall company strategy and priorities and focuses on engaging employees across GlobalFoundries.
  • Provide strategic internal communications counsel and support to the Executive leadership within the company.
  • Develop and execute communication and engagement strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to ensure consistent and effective messaging to employees.
  • Collaborate with HR professionals and department managers to identify communication and engagement gaps and develop action plans.
  • Develop and implement employee communication programs, leveraging digital channels, town hall meetings, and creating new channels to better reach employees.
  • Analyze and interpret data related to employee communication and engagement to inform decision-making.
  • Implement regular feedback mechanisms to monitor employee satisfaction and engagement levels.
  • Develop and oversee training and development programs to enhance employee communication and engagement skills.
  • Oversee and execute Philanthropic initiatives
  • Lead a global team including direct reports and dotted line team members.

 

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

 

Required qualifications:

  • Education – Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, human resources, or related field.
  • 10 or more years of diverse communications experience preferably within corporate or public relations agency environments with Internal Communications or Employee Engagement experience
  • Strong internal communications experience is critical with proven track record of implementing initiatives that engage employees.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with quick learning capabilities.
  • Ability to be a flexible teammate, act quickly and meet deadlines with the highest ethical and business standards.
  • Proven ability to be innovative and creative, and knowledgeable about new communications trends.
  • Proven track record in providing strategic, persuasive and appropriate communications counsel to senior leaders.
  • Proven success managing multiple, competing initiatives
  • Ability to manage issues and remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, with ability to grasp and focus on the big picture

 

Travel Requirements – Ability to travel to Globalfoundries manufacturing facilities in New York and Vermont up to four times per year. Ability to travel to global fabs as needed – minimum of once per year.

 

Expected Salary Range

$131,600.00 – $276,000.00

 

The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
