You will be fully responsible for managing N. America’s External Affairs efforts, designing strategies and action plans that accentuate growth opportunities and mitigate negative impacts on the business stemming from proposed changes to legislation, policies and regulations. It will be your job to ascertain the external policy environment in order to raise the role to greater visibility and impact.
Responsible for supporting business growth as our Director External Affairs in one of our largest markets, you’ll lead the development of policies, strategies, platforms for engagement, action plans and external messaging for government relations initiatives in N. America. While providing your leadership, you’ll map stakeholders in the U.S. and Canada, identify emerging public policy trends, risks and opportunities with our business leaders and functional teams, lead coalitions of like-minded organizations and achieve meaningful legislative and policy outcomes. Your formulation of strategic objectives and internally aligned goals and engaging with government leaders and key stakeholders, will all be in support of RB’s priority issues and commercial objectives across our hygiene, health and nutrition business units. In other words, you’ll be our voice with policy makers where it matters most for RB!

You can see the big picture and manage multifaceted initiatives, while creating impactful tactics, tools and messaging for a variety of key audiences. Excellence comes as standard and you are adaptable and creative in your approach. Importantly, you are gifted in articulating priorities to internal and external leaders, leading teams and coalitions, and can keep your composure, in those difficult moments.
