Health care trade association representing clinical laboratory industry seeking dynamic
candidate to manage issue-specific engagement on Capitol Hill and with external
stakeholders as Director of Government Affairs. The Director will be a member of a
small and nimble team with direct interaction with the association’s membership, joining
during an exciting time of expanding opportunities to shape the future of access and
oversight for laboratory medicine. The Director will develop and manage Capitol Hill
advocacy on issues and projects of importance to the association’s members, in
addition to active engagement in day-to-day association activities, strategy and
planning. The Director will report to the Senior Vice President of Government Affairs
and Policy.
A successful candidate must have 3-5 years of health policy experience on or engaged
with Capitol Hill; a bachelor degree; excellent oral and written communications skills;
and a proven track record of relationship building, strategic/analytical thinking, and
delivery of quality work product involving complex topics. Additional consideration will
be given for the following qualifications or experience: graduate or other advanced
degree, Medicare policy, FDA policy, grassroots, coalition building, trade association
and/or industry-specific experience. Salary and compensation commensurate with
