CHSPSC, LLC seeks a Director, Government Affairs and Policy for its Franklin, TN, headquarters’ Legal team.

 

Summary: Manages outside independent lobbyists and coordinates political and stakeholder development strategies designed to facilitate successful advancement of key Company initiatives

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Work with and assist the Senior Vice President and Chief Litigation Counsel to implement short-term and long-term strategies to achieve Company public policy goals;

  • Manage state-level contract lobbyists;
  • Monitor relevant state-level issues and prioritize key initiatives for Company focus;
  • Advocate for and communicate Company’s strategies, priorities and business commitments to key stakeholders;
  • Develop key political allies and strategies to proactively address industry trends and emerging issues; and
  • Serve as liaison to state and federal hospital associations

 

Qualifications:

High sense of integrity and compliance; collaborative, team-based approach; exceptional communication and advocacy skills; ability to interact comfortably with senior executives and elected officials; strategic thinker with deep understanding of healthcare policy

 

Education/Experience:

Minimum education requirement: bachelor’s degree; minimum five years’ experience in government affairs at a senior level position required; preference for significant experience in health care sector or other heavily-regulated industry
